It looks like we may be seeing another heavy rainfall event with possible
severe weather between 12/10-11/2008. The rain will be followed by more
record cold weather.

The murder yesterday in Plant City of the innocent bystander by an illegal
alien hardened career criminal gang member was a member of my family. My
daughter Amanda's father in law Candelereo was the victim. He was a gentle,
selfless loving husband, father and grandfather.

The murderer had a violent criminal past and should have been behind bars
and/or deported to Mexico.

driving the car and had a number of bullets whiz by his head. They were

dead and her husband Henry covered in blood.

I see no sense in having a Dept. Of Homeland Security and so called "war on
terror" when we allow our southern border to be wide open.

            It looks like we may be seeing another heavy rainfall event with possible
            severe weather between 12/10-11/2008. The rain will be followed by more
            record cold weather.

            The murder yesterday in Plant City of the innocent bystander by an illegal
            alien hardened career criminal gang member was a member of my family. My
            daughter Amanda's father in law Candelereo was the victim. He was a gentle,
            selfless loving husband, father and grandfather.

            The murderer had a violent criminal past and should have been behind bars
            and/or deported to Mexico.

            The red car in the article belonged to Candelereo. My son in law Henry was
            driving the car and had a number of bullets whiz by his head. They were

            When the shooting was over she went outside to see here father in law shot
            dead and her husband Henry covered in blood.

            I see no sense in having a Dept. Of Homeland Security and so called "war on
            terror" when we allow our southern border to be wide open.

next year leading into the 2009 Hurricane Season.  As you can see at the
bottom, Dr. Gray predictions accuracy for the 2008 Hurricane Season was
either conservative or dead on the money.

PROBABILITIES FOR AT LEAST ONE MAJOR (CATEGORY 3-4-5) HURRICANE LANDFALL
ON EACH OF THE FOLLOWING COASTAL AREAS: 

1) Entire U.S. coastline - 63% (average for last century is 52%) 

 

2) U.S. East Coast Including Peninsula Florida - 39% (average for last
century is 31%) 

 

3) Gulf Coast from the Florida Panhandle westward to Brownsville - 38%
(average for last century is 30%) 

 

4) Above-average major hurricane landfall risk in the Caribbean 

 

Information obtained through November 2008 indicates that the 2009
Atlantic hurricane season will be somewhat more active than the average
1950-2000 season. We estimate that 2009 will have about 7 hurricanes
(average is 5.9), 14 named storms (average is 9.6), 70 named storm days
(average is 49.1), 30 hurricane days (average is 24.5), 3 intense
(Category 3-4-5) hurricanes (average is 2.3) and 7 intense hurricane
days (average is 5.0). The probability of U.S. major hurricane landfall
is estimated to be about 120 percent of the long-period average. We
expect Atlantic basin Net Tropical Cyclone (NTC) activity in 2009 to be
about 135 percent of the long-term average. This forecast is based on a
new extended-range early December statistical prediction scheme that
utilizes 58 years of past data. The influences of El Ni?o conditions are
implicit in these predictor fields, and therefore we do not utilize a
specific ENSO forecast as a predictor. We currently do not expect to see
El Ni?o conditions during the 2009 Atlantic hurricane season.

....On Wednesday-Thursday December 10-11, 2008 Measureable snow fell in the upper Texas coast eastward into Louisiana and Mississippi. Totals include 2" in Galveston County, TX, 4" in Beaumont, TX, 6" in Hammond, LA and 9" in Lawrence County, MS. At many locations this was the earliest and heaviest snowfall ever observed for the date and month.....

On Friday December 12, 2008 fleeting sunspot group #11009 produced a C class solar flare before setting around the west limb of the Sun. This is the first C class solar flare since April 03, 2008. 

Also a filament eruption occurred in the northwest quadrant of the Sun beginning at approximately 0615 UTC. This produced a weak partially geo-effective (Earth facing) coronal mass ejection (CME) that "may" impact Earth's geomagnetic field in a minor way (Kp 3) on or about Monday December 15, 2008.

Thanks to our club secretary, Bob Siegel (WA4YFN), we will be meeting
at the Lakeland Police Department's Community Room on the second
floor.  When you arrive at LPD, go in the main entrance and either
take the stairs or elevator to the second floor and from there you
will have help finding the room.  The street address and map can be

We are going to have a fantastic program next month, and I will leave
it to the President-elect to share that information with you guys.
