COMPLEX WEATHER EVENT TAKING SHAPE AT THIS TIME OVER THE NORTHERN GULF
AND SOUTHEASTERN

CUT OFF NEAR SOUTHEAST TEXAS. AN 

 <http://forecast.weather.gov/glossary.php?word=ACTIVE> ACTIVE LINE OF
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS HAS BEEN MOVING SLOWLY EASTWARD ACROSS THE
WESTERN 

FLORIDA PANHANDLE BUT THE REAL PUSH IS YET TO ARRIVE. EXPECT THIS LINE
TO ACCELERATE EASTWARD 

THIS EVENING POSSIBLY REACHING THE LEVY COAST BEFORE 7 AM. THE MOST
INTENSE STORMS WILL BE 

ASSOCIATED WITH A LOW-LEVEL

KNOTS MOVING ACROSS THE NATURE COAST AROUND SUNRISE.

LIFTS OUT TO THE NORTH. HOWEVER, SO OUR CURRENT THINKING IS THAT THE
SEVERE 

THREAT WILL BE LOWER FROM ABOUT TAMPA BAY SOUTHWARD AS THE LINE MOVES BY
DURING THE MID-MORNING HOURS.

POLK COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT EOC WILL CONTINUALLY MONITOR THE
PROGRESS OF THIS FRONT 

AND WILL ADVISE OF CHANGES, IF NECESSARY. ATTACHED ARE THE LATEST RADAR
IMAGES OF THIS WEATHER SYSTEM.
