More Severe Weather Possible Today

At 4:00 pm EDT with virtually no convective clouds (cumulus) visible, the 
temperature approaching 100 deg. F and heat index surpassing 112 deg. F, 
strong to severe thunderstorms may erupt during the evening hours across the 
inland and west central peninsula region.

Strong to severe storms are also possible on Tuesday, with a wet and stormy 
weather pattern shaping up for the next seven days. The worst of the recent 
heat wave will wane during the next 48 hours.

Speaking of heat the panhandle north and non peninsula north regions 
surpassed 100 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Here are some examples.

Saturday-
Tallahassee 103 deg.
Crestview 101 deg.
Pensacola 100 deg.
Jacksonville 100 deg.

Sunday-
Tallahassee 102 deg.
Crestview 101 deg.
Jacksonville 101 deg.
Inverness 100 deg.


Monday at 4:00 pm EDT-
Sandborn 103 deg.
Milton- 103 deg.
Tallahassee- 102 deg.
Cross City- 100 deg.

Today the 100 deg. heat is also making it into the central peninsula-
Central (Lake County)- 101 deg.
Vero Beach 100 deg.
Ocklawaha 100 deg.
Umatilla 100 deg.
