The location and a map can be found on our website at www.polkemcomm.org . Click on the "meetings" tab at the top of the page. The meeting starts at 6pm with the program at 6:30 until 7:30. Paul Womble will be discussing deployment, what you can expect. I will spend a little time on Radio Go Kits. After the program I will take photos for ID badges, the Frequency Focus Group can have a quick meeting, and y'all can socialize. Bring radios and manuals for programming help. We have had a great turnout the last two months and with your help it will continue through the holidays. With the holidays in mind, Evans, KD4EFM, has organized a Holiday Get Together at the Beef O'brady's in Bartow. We will meet and eat at 6pm on the 3rd of December. You can contact him at kd4efm at polkemcomm.org for any information regarding this event. It will be fun and a great time to socialize. Our checkins on the ARES net are increasing. This is our chance to practice and be better operators. You are only as good as you train. Join us each Wednesday at 7:30pm on 146.985 or 444.950. The P.L. tone is 127.3 with standard offsets. I sounds like you might be over driving your radio a bit. You are coming through with tons of power, high S number, but some of your words are getting clipped. I hesitate to suggest what is causing this, because it could be several things. You might want to team up with someone to check this out. Thank you again for doing the net, and please let me know when you will be resuming your normal schedule, and what that might be so that I can change the blog. Thing is/was I didn't know it didn't come with the PTT switch. Found out later reason behind it is there are two different kinds of PTT switches. One is a hand switch and the other is a foot switch. I need to get one or the other. Now the reason for my clipped words was do to having my vox timing set to low to 1.5 delay. I have set that higher but still need a PTT switch ( another $30.00) shot haha. OK now about resuming my normal schedule. I'm good to go for the next 6 months and need to get with Dan WZ1P and let him know I'm good for the 2nd Thursdays of each month and more if needed. So I hope this helps you out as well for the blog. 73 and thanks for your help on the radio report.
