I put together a little photo album.

 

The station is at the front of the living room in our sublet house. I have
the K-3 is on a coffee table and you can see the little end table I use to
hold the keyer paddles and the little stool to keep Logger 22 going. The
regulator for 220 v power is on the floor and my no name 30 amp 12 v DC
switching supply is next to the rig. It's fan comes on from time to time to
cool it. Seems to be a pretty

good investment ( $30).

 

The antenna matching unit sits on a car under tarp (not ours) and you can
see the wire for 10 and maybe 15 meters. This homebrewed unit is for EFHW
antennas and seems to work well.

 

I did some tree surgery from the roof this a.m. I am going to redo the  40,
30, and 20 meter antennas now that some of the clutter is off the tree that
I throw antenna over or that hang in it for the shorter ones..

 

The matching unit gives nice matches on all bands and I don't even need to
use the K-3's tuner to tweak it.

 

We live pretty close to high rise bank and a couple of telecom giants.The
cell phone companies here have very deep pockets and are  financing lots of
construction of all sorts.

 

I can have a pile-up any time I want if the band is open and have had times
when I have logged upward of  2 QSO's in per minute. Whew!
