Does Tarheel Antenna's ever set up at the Orlando Hamcation?

I should be able to make my purchase by then for a HF mobile antenna,

I first need to purchase a truck toolbox as I want to mount the antenna on the toolbox.

David,

I would suggest you call Bill or Robert at 877-671-9409 or Robert at 919 552-8788 at Tarheel Antennas. I know both of these gents personally and they know what works and what won’t with the Tarheel antennas.

73,

Mike Parrish

I have a Chevy truck with an ic-7000 in it. I also had a tarheel bolted it the tool box and the tool box is grounded with 6 ground straps. The problems I had with the tarheel are the control cable. It picks up noise. I installed MANY RF choke on the line to tame it down. The steeper motor did not always stop in the right place and if it was too could out the motor did not work. The antenna needs a good ground plane and if you don¡¦t get RF down the control line it will work nice. I went back to the old way 102¡¦ whip and auto tuner ƒº

Good luck ļ
