SkyWarn Training at February ARES Meeting

Hello All ARES Members,

As previously announced there will be SkyWarn training conducted by Dan
Noah of NOAA on February 23rd at the Polk County EOC. Two sessions will be
conducted. Each session will include Basic and Advanced SkyWarn Training.
one session is from 2pm until 4pm and the evening session will be during
the ARES meeting from 6pm until 8:30 pm. If you plan on attending please
email Billy at  williamabernathy at polkfl.com . Please invite anyone who has
an interest in weather and bring them along whether the are registered or
not. We can always fit in a few more. There are several SkyWarn training
events planned this year in the area. If you are unable to make this one
find another class on the NOAA site and attend. Check this site for

I want to thank all those who turned in training hours for January. Total
hours were 1210.5 with 27 ARES members reporting. We had 26 people at the
ARES meeting, 80 people check in to our nets, 19 people at our ARECC
course, and 7 Events for the month. Nice Job!
