lightning disconnect

Hey y'all. I am in the process of putting my shack together, and had a question about feedline lightning protection. Along with a polyphaser on each coax line, I was thinking about making a window pass through unit kind of like MFJ's with banana jacks on the inside for my feedline connections, so it would be easy whenever I was off the air to just unplug and keep the lightning out of my shiny new rig... Any thoughts?
