Yo George... It’s a “Remote Phone Unit”  just a remote for any one of... VHF, UHF & Hf transmitters and receivers in radio central or a radio annex for the use of officers on the bridge, CIC, or Damage control. It supports telephone like handsets with carbon microphones and earphones... may be attached to “MANY” types of transmitters/receivers..
