Please submit your April training hours on this form:

I'm on a Few Radio forum's and I came across this so I though to help this gent out I would post it here and see if I can find the answer for him.

Kenwood TS 520 has a problem with the meter on the radio. Turn on the radio and after about 5 minutes the meter slowly keeps rising until it pegs and stays there, yet radio functions properly. It will stay that way even after being turned off for a while. Also the meter lights burned out at the same time. Anyone have any answers on what the problem may be?

What are we looking for?
Here are just some of my ideas. each/everyone has their own.

1. how to hook them up?
a.  Transceiver then Amp then tuner than antenna

2. proper tuning?
b. by-pass amp,tune antenna to radio low power using tuner.
   then engage amp and tune/tweak....bringing power up on each short session until you meet the Amps loading

3. operation of the unit together?
c. I would suggest to operate each at low power until person gets the hang of it.
   follow the Amp's setup and maintain settings to spec's.

If not sure, don't play, get help.

several books, patches, and the grand prize.  The grand prize this year
will be a
beautiful handmade quilt by Joan Haynes.  Please come to the meeting to

the details.

Also, Ernie will be collecting for the Field Day Celebration dinner which
will be held
preceding the July 1st meeting at 6pm.  Our favorite BBQ, Jimbo's, will
be catering
the event.  The cost is $9.00 per person.

So please come to the meeting (with your wallets!) and support our great
annual
tradition, Field Day 2013!
