Reverse beacons were a hot topic at this past weekend's Huntsville Hamfest. Search for reverse beacons to learn more. In short the system listens for your transmission from worldwide locations then reports via the Internet which locations heard your signal. You can do this by bands to see what band is open.  The QRP gang is using this to great affect.
