With Polk County under a Tropical Storm Watch and potentially severe
weather (ie:winds) anticipated starting late tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon,
Polk ARES will begin monitoring on the WC4PEM repeaters tomorrow evening in
a Standby Skywarn net on the WC4PEM repeaters. Should severe weather
threaten Polk County, the net will be moved to an active mode.

Information on the repeaters as well as on shelter locations is available
on the polkares.org website. Stay tuned to the Polk Emergency Management
for shelter openings as well school closings.
