Actually, the real reason you ask the clerk to request centering is because 
 it never centers on her computer and she is already confused enough.  When 
 she requests centering, it makes her feel better and you're out of the tag 
 office a lot quicker.

When I received my N2TE plates, the  characters were nicely centered on the

I have spoken to the supervisor  who oversee the inmates who makes the 
plates for us and he says they automatic  centers the callsign on the tag.you 
don't need to indicate center callsign on  plate it's automatically centered
