Greetings all,

For those of you that haven't heard yet, SKYWARN Recognition Day (SRD)
is coming up this Friday and Saturday! If you want full details and
history about it, visit the links below, but basically it's all about
recognizing SKYWARN members. As part of the event, hams are invited to
visit their local National Weather Service Office and operate on-the-air
in a contest style, contacting other NWS offices across the country. Our
local office in Ruskin will be open for visiting hams from 7-10pm on
Friday and 9am-5pm Saturday. There will also be two special nets on the
NI4CE system, at 8pm Friday, and also at 10am Saturday. Even if you
can't make it to over Ruskin, be sure to take a minute and make a
contact on the repeater if you have the time! Also, keep an ear out on
HF for any of the NWS offices--there's likely to be quite a few on,
including Ruskin!
