I hope everyone had a Wonderful Christmas and I wish everyonea Happy New Year! This message is to remind everyone that Membership Dues for 2019 may be paid starting Monday at the meeting.  Dues are $25 for an individual and $37.50 for a family.  We accept checks, money orders,and of course cash (exact change please!). Hi,
I am Craig's sister. He is deceased as of Sept 17th. I know by law nobody can use one of these channels on his radio without a license, or his channel.
I didn't exactly know what to do with the Radio. Shouldn't the Radio assignment be taken off of it? Do I notify the FCC, clueless .
I was happy to see him doing something he liked again, but we had not talked for a couple of years then got back together and did a flash catch up in a month I don't know how to shut this station down or who to contact.

We have had in the past a 2 meter SSB net, just for fun.

Our plan is to gather on thursday night at 8:30pm on 144.025. I will be
just making a who is around kind of call and we would enjoy a bunch of
company.

We started out using horizontal polarization but found it much easier for
most to just use vertical polarization, so vertical we will be.

*btw, you might want to pick another freq, 144.025 is cw only. Somewhere in
144.200-144.275

At the LARC meeting last night I mentioned 2M SSB net on Thursday evening at 2030 hrs.  I gave the frequency of 144.025 - that should be 144.250.  The .025 is in the CW area - .250 puts us in the right range.

If 144.250 is busy we will announce another frequency on the LARC repeater.

I wanted to let you know - although this is short notice - that the Disney
EARS (Emergency Amateur Radio Service) is holding a tech licensing class on
Saturday January 26th.  I may be involved in the presentation of it.

D.E.A.R.S. will be holding a Technician class and test session which will
be held on *January 26th, 2019 from 8 am to 5 pm *at:

The class will run all day with a 1/2 hour break for lunch followed by a
two hour test session.  This is a great opportunity to earn your

I'm not sure if the LARC mailing list has potential hams on the list - they
would be the audience for this notice, or if someone knows someone who's
thinking of getting their license.

The location is about 30-35 minutes east of I-4 and US 27.  It's 1 1/2
miles north of Exit 3 (John Young Parkway) on the 528.  The 528 is at Mile
Marker 72 of I-4.

yourself. Have fun.

Subject: [LARC-CQ] 2 meter net and rag chew

In addition to the Thursday night net, the club has added a 2 meter Rag
Chew which meets every Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. All hams, and
especially new hams, are encouraged to join in. Both are a great cure for
mic fright. So put our regular net, *Thursday evenings 7:30 PM,* and the
new Rag Chew, *Wednesday mornings 11:00AM *on your calendars.
