This is partly a test to see if my signing up worked and while I’m at it an introduction.
I recently moved to Polk City and am interested in the club but with the current situation have not been able to attend any meetings. I moved here from the Aiken, SC area where I was an active member of the club and county ARES.
I have been a Ham since 1961 but still struggle with CW even though I have had Extra Class license from back when 20 WPM was required. I am a Life Member of ARRL.
In my current QTH I am very antenna restricted with the HOA so it is a good thing I got 5BDXCC at my prior QTH. While DX is my favorite activity I will be working on another WAS from this QTH where I won’t have the good antennas and amplifier I used elsewhere.
I dabble in contests although my CW skills are limited. I operated for awhile in the recent Field Day and even with having just an end-fed halfwave up over a tree I made 250 CW QSOs to 41 states.
So lets see if this works.
73,
Jerry
