> I sent the below email out to all members yesterday. Please talk with your team members and see if anyone is able and willing to assist with this project. If they are unable to commit to the whole day but are willing to work half a day we will work with that. And if they can only do one day but not the whole 5 weeks we will work with that also. Whatever people can commit to. We will be running these test sites for the next 5 weeks and we need all the volunteers we can get. There will be an online training video for them to watch explaining what they will be doing. Basically checking people in and handing them some literature to read. We start this next week so we need people to respond ASAP. I need their phone numbers and what times they can work.

> WE NEED YOUR HELP! Volunteer Scribe Opportunity
>
> Polk County BoCC has secured funding, through the CARES grant, to offer volunteer SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing to all Polk County Fire Rescue, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, and BoCC personnel over the next several months.
>
> The antibody test looks for the presence of antibodies, which are specific proteins made in response to infections. Antibodies can be found in the blood of individuals who are tested and reveal whether or not the individual has previously had an immune response to COVID-19.
>
> Through our partnership with UCF’s College of Medicine, we will be gathering data throughout all testing phases to determine the seroprevalence of COVID-19 among first-responders and identify trends related to gender, race, age, pre-existing health conditions, vaccination history, and symptomology that may exist. It is our hope that the data captured in this study will contribute to the growing body of COVID-19 related research and empower professionals in the medical, public health, and emergency management fields with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions related to future surges of COVID-19 and similar viruses moving forward.
>
> Testing will begin on Tuesday, May 26th and runs through June 29th at the following four testing sites:
>
> 1. PCFR Station 2 (Medulla) 2523 Ewell Road / Lakeland, FL 33811
> 2. PCFR Station 33 (Northridge) 6525 Ronald Reagan Pkwy / Davenport, FL 33896
> 3. PCFR Station 26 (Golfview) 2902 Highway 60 East / Lake Wales, FL 33853
> 4. PCFR Headquarters (Bartow)
>
>
> Polk County Fire Rescue Paramedics will be performing the blood draws at each of these locations. We need one volunteer to serve as a scribe for each location to check in employees and distribute paper work. The shifts run from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm with a lunch break (refrigerator and microwave available on site). We are asking you to volunteer for 1 full day each week for the entire 5 week mission. (example: Dorothy works every Monday at Golfview station from 9-4 for 5 weeks.)
>
> If you are interested in this opportunity please email me ASAP as this is a quick turnaround. Please let me know what days of the week you would be available, the station you can work at, your name, team, and contact information. If you are not able to commit to the entire 5 weeks, please let me know what your availability is.
>
> This testing is starting next Tuesday. We will be completing the assignment schedule within the next 2 days and you will receive information on how to access a training video by the end of this week.
>
> Masks will be available at the testing sites for any volunteer wishing to wear them.
