Although most of you have already heard the sad news, I’ve been asked to announce that our good friend and LARC Vice President, Herman “TOP” Smith went silent key at 1902 Hrs on April 2nd. 
Members of his family, including Glenn, KO4AWJ, were with him as he took his last breath on earth and entered paradise to meet his Savior. 
Among his many other accomplishments Top ran a MARS site while proudly serving as a US Marine on Okinawa and held an amateur license in Jordan signed by his friend and fellow HAM, King Al-Hussein. 
I know I speak of all of us when I say we are surely going to miss that guy. 
Would one of you who checks in on SOUTHCARS please make that announcement on behalf of the family.
