A huge "Thank You" to all the volunteers and participants at this year's LARC Field Day event. We encountered a few challenges along the way, but were able to overcome them and make what I believe will be a very respectable showing when all the data is tabulated and the final scores are revealed. As always, a major factor in the success of this event is the leadership of Fred Delaney. Fred worked tirelessly to insure that every detail was covered and that every potential pitfall was avoided. Dave Zdanowicz made certain we had plenty of hydration and sustenance available from beginning to end of the event. To each and every one who cleaned, set up, tore down, held a tether, steadied a ladder or fetched coax connector: Thank You. To all those who operated on the air: Thank You.
As we were leaving yesterday, with everything loaded and ready to go, Fred said to me: "You know, next year I'm thinking we might run FT8 on the same bands as...." Never too soon to start thinking about Field Day 2023.
Our next meeting will be held on Monday, July 11, when we will have our traditional Field Day celebration dinner. Ten dollars per member which, in addition to your meal, gets you a ticket to some pretty nice door prizes. NOTE: WE ARE MOVING THE MEETING START TIME TO 1800 HOURS LOCAL TIME.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Mike, N6MRS
