[LARC-CQ] email bounces and list suspensions

Hi folks,

I am sending this because I received a flurry of bounce notifications
from Dreamhost, our web & email hosting provider, due to email delivery
failures for those of you with Gmail accounts. For some reason I am
still investigating, Google rejected email from our mailing list
yesterday regarding the cancellation of our meeting on 2024-10-14. If
the problem is resolved (or was transient) then those of you with Gmail
addresses should see this email and can visit...

...to read the email from our PIO, Eric Clark, regarding the canceled
meeting.

There is nothing you need to, or can, do regarding this problem so this
email is just an FYI that those of you who use Gmail may have missed
some communication. Of course, if the problem hasn't yet been resolved
then this email will also flood me with bounce notifications and those
members who use Gmail will still be out-of-the-loop regarding the
canceled meeting. We may have to fall back on other means of
communication to reach those members. I'll post a follow-up message to
this one shortly with status.

I have opened a ticket with Dreamhost to investigate this issue and will
ride them until resolved, rest assured.
