[LARC-CQ] FL license plate renewal - ham callsign

In Florida, all license plates are valid for a period of ten years. At the end of this period, a new plate must be issued upon renewal of the vehicle registration. In the past I’ve been able to do renewals and when the amateur radio license plate hit the ten year mark, they sent me a new one. Perhaps something has changed in the process since mine was replaced at the ten year mark. When it was replaced, it was identical to the old one, just a newer plate.

Subject: [LARC-CQ] FL license plate renewal - ham callsign

When I went to renew my amateur radio license plate online it said that it had to be replaced and I had to call the office. (Will call them Monday morning) Has anyone else gone thru the procedure? Will I be able to get the same one with my callsign? Anyone know? How does a renewal in a case like this work?
