As discussed, it’s not a bad idea, even if your renewal is not for a while, to make sure that you have a good working account on the new CORES system which went into effect on July 15, 2022.

Also, here is a link to the new FCC requirement requiring FRN contact information to be updated with ten days of changes to email or address changes.

Every FCC licensee—including amateur radio operators—must have an FRN to file applications, this requirement applies to all licensed amateurs.
