<P>Sarasota County will be conducting a test of their communications <BR>systems
from their "backup" Emergency Operations Center, on Saturday, <BR>March
8th.<BR><BR>To coincide with their testing, we will be conducting a test of our
<BR>amateur communications capabilities from that site using one of our
<BR>permanently installed dual-band antennas and portable "jump kit". We
<BR>will be checking radio coverage from the "backup" EOC to several of our
<BR>designated Emergency frequencies (repeaters and simplex).<BR><BR>We will
start one one frequency and take a list of "check ins" on that <BR>frequency.
Once completed, we will announce the move to another <BR>frequency, and repeat
the process.<BR><BR>The exercise will begin at 10 AM, and we will be taking
"check ins" in <BR>the order of frequencies listed below.<BR><BR>146.730 MHz (PL
100)<BR>145.130 MHz<BR>147.390 MHz (PL 100)<BR>147.120 MHz (PL 136.5)<BR>443.550
MHz (PL 100)<BR>442.330 MHz/444.600 MHz (PL 82.5) Linked system, use either
repeater<BR>146.580 MHz (simplex)<BR>145.090 MHz (Winlink packet)<BR><BR>A more

can check in on one, or more, frequencies. We will ask you for a <BR>"location",
which can be the nearest major intersection. This will help <BR>us plot repeater
coverage, so the more participants, the better.<BR><BR>Thanks to SERC, NPARC,
and K4TAP, for allowing us the use of their <BR>repeaters for this
