<DIV>Phil/N9BFA, Over the last few years I have been a member with LARC we have set up a booth at the Winter Haven Citric Doom.</DIV>
<DIV>Altough I have not heard anything at this time if we are again setting up this year.</DIV>
<DIV>It would be a great time for the Lakeland Amateur Radio Club Emergency Communication Team Members to get together and do this.</DIV>
<DIV>Talking with the public on how Amateur Radio takes a BIG Role during Hurricane's or total communication blackouts is a big plus for LARC, a big plus to inform how we get the messages out to where they need to go.</DIV>
<DIV>Also speaking of Hurricanes and the 2008 season opens this coming Sunday June 1st.</DIV>
<DIV>I would like to see the LARC ECT do a live on air Drill from the Lakeland EOC Radio Room.</DIV>
<DIV>This Room hasn't been used and needs to be or has us LARC ECT been doing and Drills that are well over do. </DIV>
<DIV>We are Emergency Communication Operators need to stay on our toes, we never know when a real life Emergency is going to hit our area and we need to know where we stand and all goes smooth in a life Emergency.</DIV>
<DIV>I know Feild Day is what we are mainly going to be talking about at the next LARC meeting but maybe we can also fine a little times to plan for our LARC ECT too.</DIV>
