                              but they're both blocked from 512-806MHZ. I didn't 
                              pick anything up from 170-174MHZ from the mic, but 
                              didn't really expect to since it is marked 
                              UHF.<BR><BR>I've got a handheld transceiver, but 
                              it is only 144-148MHZ, so I cant test any 
                              transmission ranges to the receiver.<BR><BR>Thanks

                                to know _how_ they are incompatible- eg what did

                                can mod both.  I observe the mic appears to 
                                have a jtag interface.   I suspect the 
                                single rx/tx channel combo where I can receive, 
                                it is simply hitting a harmonic.

                                and wh numbers....I know a tech in Anchor Audio 
                                and called him......The eairlier series used 
                                Vhf  170MHZ freqs and the later units used 
                                700 MHZ for a very short time then they switched 
                                to 682 to 698 MHZ freqs. Sense our HAM radios or 
                                a scanner can get to these freqs. you can scan 
                                them for the most part. Triple check the model 
                                and also the serial number is the key to nailing 
                                down what you have.....next step is

                                info I have on the Anchor equipment;<BR><BR>The 
                                receiver is integrated into a loudspeaker 
                                MegaVox Pro model MEGA-6000U1. It is set to 
                                wireless channel 9.<BR>The transmitter is a 
                                hand-held wireless microphone model WH-3000. 
                                With the mic set to channel 4, with the 
                                equipment in close physical range (~5-10 feet)I 
                                can get the rx link lights to illuminate on the 
                                receiver and it will demodulate audio as 
                                expected. It doesn't lock onto the signal too 
                                well and will lose the lock often depending on 
                                mic orientation. <BR>I cannot find any 
                                meaningful documentation on the mfgrs site, but 
                                a call to their support revealed these are not 
                                intended to be compatible. I don't know if the 
                                incompatibility is with the channel 'codes', 
                                modulation technique, or carrier. <BR><BR>I 
                                don't have physical access to the drive-in 
                                equipment, but swear to myself every time I 
                                visit the drive-in that I will bring up the 
                                topic here, and finally I'm getting around to 
                                it. If your equipment is at all portable, I'd 
                                just like to give the signal a look-see to see 
                                if anything jumps out as being mis-aligned. I've 
                                simply never had a good experience trying to 
                                tune their signal from various locations on the 
                                property using a variety of FM receivers. I 
                                figure if I have problems, everyone else
