While I happened to be listening on the repeater today around 1530, I heard<br>
something that caught my attention.<br>
<br>
A couple of guys were talking about property such as family memorabilia and<br>
its possible value. One of the guys mentioned commemorative coins and how<br>
they varied in value. One of the fellows remarked that the coins being made<br>
with President Trumps image were just plated copper and wouldn't have any<br>
value *unless he was assassinated.*<br>
<br>
I am all for free speech but I felt this was a rather poorly thought out<br>
thing to say particularly at this point in our history.<br>

Unless someone was actively advocating the assassination of a public official (which I'm quite sure would be a violation of F.C.C. rules) I don't see the problem. Sounds to me like it was simply a statement of fact.<br>

While I understand that ham radio is "self-policing", I don't see a problem here.<br>
