If you are undecided over whether harmful man induced climate change (global warming) is occurring check out these recent minimum temperatures in Alaska and Canada


 .....On Saturday January 10, 2009 the temperature dipped to -20 deg F at Island Pond, VT. The temperature dipped to -66 deg. F at CWOP #4591 Tok, AK..... 
..... On Friday January 9, 2009 the temperature dipped to -75 deg. F at CWOP #4591 Tok, AK, -67 deg. F at O'Brien, -66 deg. F at Chicken, -63 deg F at Tok DOT, -61 deg. F at Northway and -60 deg. F at Chalkyitsik.....

.....The period Thursday-Thursday January 1-8, 2008 has been the 8th coldest first 8 days of January in the past 100 years in Fairbanks, AK.....

.....On Thursday January 8, 2009 the temperature dipped to -68 deg. F at Chicken, AK, -65 deg. F at O'Brien, -63 deg. F at Tok DOT and -61 deg F at Northway.....

.....On Wednesday January 7, 2009 the temperature dipped to -68 deg. F at Tok DOT, AK, -63 deg F at O 'Brien and -61 deg. F at Northway. At Beaver Creek and Burwash, Yukon, Canada the temperature dipped to -58 deg. F.....

.....On Tuesday January 6, 2009 the temperature dropped to -57 deg. F at Beaver and Fort Yukon, AK, -56 deg. F at Chalkyitsik and -55 deg. F at Birch Creek, Coal Creek and Granite Creek.....

.....On Monday January 5, 2009 the temperature dipped to -61 deg. F at Chalkyitsik and Eagle, AK and -60 deg. F at Beaver and Fort Yukon.....

.....On Sunday January 4, 2009 the temperature dipped to -62 deg. F at Chalkyitsik, AK and -61 deg. F at Beaver, Eagle and Fort Yukon.....

.....On Saturday January 3, 2009 the temperature dipped to -64 deg. F at O'Brien, AK, -62 deg. F at Chalkyitsik, -61 deg F at Beaver and -60 deg. F at Chicken and Fort Yukon......

.....On Friday January 2, 2009 the temperature dipped to -59 deg. F at Tok DOT, AK.....

.....On Thursday January 1, 2009 the temperature dipped to -60 deg. F at Chicken, AK.......

.....In December 2008 a record 59.8" of snow fell in Spokane, WA. That is more than normally falls in a winter season. Green Bay, WI measured 45.2" a new record for December 2008, Madison, WI measured 40.4", it's snowiest month ever and Fargo, ND 33.5", it's snowiest month ever.....



Some of that cold weather is headed for the eastern U.S. including Florida next week.

Models are forecasting -30 to -40 deg. F in interior New England next week.

As follows are minimum temperatures forecasted for the COOP weather  station in Plant City on the west central peninsula. These number could change up or down in the intervening days.

Tue 13th- 34 deg

Wed 14th- 27 deg

Thu 15th- 23 deg

Fri 16th- 36 deg

Sat 17th- 24 deg

Sun 18th- 23 deg



As follows are minimum temperatures for the Airport in Brooksville on the west central peninsula.

Mon 12th- 42 deg

Tue 13th- 29 deg

Wed 14th- 24 deg

Thu 15th- 27 deg

Fri 16th- 33 deg

Sat 17th- 18 deg

Sun 18th- 17 deg
