Bitter Arctic Air Invasion

.....On Wednesday January 14, 2009 bitterly cold Arctic air began invading, New England, the Midwest, northern Plains and eastern Canada. 

On Thursday January 15, 2009 the temperature dipped to the following levels. 

-45 deg. F in Charlie, ND

-44 deg. F at Parent, QE

-42 deg. F at Edmunston, NB

-42 deg. F at Aberdeen, SD

-38 deg. F at Fosston, MN

-38 deg. F at Black River, ME

-37 deg. F at Rochelle, IL

-32 deg. F at Island Pond, VT

-30 deg. F at Springfield, IA

-30 deg. F at Minong, WI

-29 deg. F at Sagola, MN

-29 deg. F at Berlin, NH

-28 deg. F at Norfolk, NY

-18 deg. F at Jefferson, MO

-12 deg. F at Somerset, IN

Even Florida got into the act with the subfreezing line down to U.S. 92 across the central peninsula. The temperature dipped to 25 deg. at Holder and Nobleton, 26 deg. at Brooksville, 28 deg. at Mount Plymouth, 29 deg. at Dade City and 32 deg. at Plant City.....
