Hi folks,
I am in the process of making some counterpoise wires of various lengths
for testing a portable vertical antenna and (as usual) I ran into some
dissatisfaction with the oft mentioned "234/freq" rule of thumb, so I
decided to make my own chart showing the top & bottom for each of the
amateur bands (per the handy ARRL pdf[0]) and the wavelengths of
top/bottom of those bands in meters & feet/inches for full, half, and
quarter wavelength. I will attach it here to this email as a PDF, and
can provide the ODS file to anyone who wants it. Enjoy, I am. :)
Of course, if you find any errors in my calculations then I'd very much
appreciate you setting me straight so that I can reshare the
corrections.
Best regards,
Mike
