[LARC-CQ] FL license plate renewal - ham callsign

I called the Lakeland office (OMG!!!) and the lady with whom I spoke said that my license plate is merely a "personalized" plate and there is no "amateur radio" plate difference. All are "vanity" plates. 
She checked with a "supervisor" and got the SAME answer. When I asked what the replacement fee would be for my "amateur" plate they said they had no idea. When I asked if they could look up my license plate the lady said she couldn't because the license plate is going to expire, thus preventing her from looking it up. And I tried calling the main FL DMV 800 number but they're not accepting phone calls at this time because they're too busy with other customers.
Not sure what my options are other than going in and having them register it incorrectly.
Any suggestions?

 I had that problem once they tried to give me a personal tag, KE4CRC, and charge me appropriately Just make sure they know it's an amateur radio tag, not a personal tag.  They are classified differently and priced differently
